  History Festival receives

Mankato Area Jaycees Grant

The Mankato Area Jaycees challenged the Mankato Community to match up to $1,000 to present to Jack McGowan’s History Festival.  This challenge was met by five generous community donors  including: $250 - Kato Cab, $250 - C & S Supply, $250 - Keystone Communities of Mankato, $250 - Affordable Towing of Mankato, $500 - Sams Club, $100 - Willard and Williams Insurance Agency and the major sponsor was McGowan Water Conditioning $2,500.  With the matching grant funds from the Jaycees the total donations were $5,100.

The Mankato Area Jaycees donated funds from their annual Sandbox Fill Fundraiser.  Jack has been instrumental in helping with this event and the children love to get dragon tears from him.  The Jaycees also help out by volunteering at the History Festival.   The Mankato Community is truly blessed to have Jack McGowan give his time and talents to teaching history to area schoolchildren in a fun hands on manner.
